Highway 21 is open but winter storm warning issued for Kincardine area
Highway 21, from Kincardine to Amberley, is open.
The South Bruce OPP reported that, as of 5 a.m., Saturday (Feb. 15), the highway was re-opened, after being closed since first thing Friday morning (Feb. 14).
However, Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the Kincardine area, forecasting 15-30 centimetres of snow and high wind, resulting in significantly reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
The snowstorm is expected to continue through to Sunday evening.
For those who decide to travel, keep your headlights and tail-lights on and clear of snow and do not drive on a closed road.
Remember to keep your speed down. “If you see snow, go slow.”
