Intimate partner violence results in several charges
(MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH BRUCE, ON) - Feb. 17, the South Bruce OPP investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of South Bruce.
Investigation determined that a dispute between individuals inside a residence led to an assault. The accused continued to be assaultive toward officers while on scene.
As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old individual of West Grey has been charged with:
- Assault, CC 266
- Assault police, CC 270(1)(a) - two counts
- Assault with intent to resist arrest, CC 270(1)(b)
- Mischief under $5,000, CC 430(4)
- Fail to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a) - three counts
- Fail to comply with probation, CC 733.1(1)
The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
