​Kincardine Family Health Organization launches on-line wait-list for family doctors

The Kincardine Family Health Organization (also known as the Kincardine Physicians Group), in collaboration with the Kincardine Family Health Team, has launched a new on-line form for residents to join the wait-list for a family doctor.

A press release, issued Tuesday, states that residents who are eligible (those living in Kincardine or Huron-Kinloss Township), can sign up on the wait-list, and once capacity is available, a random draw will determine who is contacted to be rostered with a primary-care provider.

“We’re thrilled to offer this new option to our community," said Dr. Angela Cavanagh, lead physician at the health organization.

“This on-line form simplifies the process and ensures that those who need a family doctor can easily add their name to the list. It is a big step forward in meeting the growing demand for health-care services in our region.”

Importantly, all personal information submitted will be handled with care. The health team will securely manage and protect your data in compliance with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act.

In addition to the on-line form, residents who require paper forms can visit the health organization to complete a paper wait-list form.

As a reminder, placement on the wait-list does not guarantee immediate assignment to a primary-care provider. Due to the high demand, the health organization cannot predict how long an individual may need to wait.
