South Bruce OPP report theft; and cryptocurrency scam
POLICE INVESTIGATE THEFT OF SNOWMOBILE
(MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE, ON) - Feb. 26, the South Bruce OPP received a report of the theft of a snowmobile at an address along Concession 2, Municipality of Kincardine.
Sometime between Feb. 23-26, a blue-and-yellow 2003 Polaris Edge 800 snowmobile was removed from the victim’s property. The snowmobile had a registration number of 820414.
Police encourage members of the public to report suspicious behaviour. Consider installing security cameras, additional lighting and/or alarms. If you already have security cameras, considering registering with the CAMSafe program at

$100,000 LOST IN CRYPTOCURRENCY SCAM
(MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE, ON) - Feb. 25, the South Bruce OPP was dispatched to an address in the Municipality of Kincardine, where an individual reported being victim of a fraud.
Investigation revealed that over the past few months, the victim made a series of transactions amounting to approximately $100,000 through a cryptocurrency investment company. The victim stumbled upon this investment company through an on-line advertisement, where the individual later conversed with someone on numerous occasions to facilitate the transactions.
Once the victim attempted to make a withdrawal from the account, the individual became aware there were no funds available.
The investigation has been passed to the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit.
