Roads re-open in Kincardine area, Sunday morning
Highways 9 and 21 in the Kincardine area were re-opened by early Sunday morning (March 2), as were several Bruce County roads.
At 1:30 a.m., the South Bruce OPP reported that the following roads were open:
- Highway 9, from Kincardine to Walkerton
- Bruce County Road 1, from Lucknow to Highway 9
- Bruce County Road 7, from Ripley to Highway 9
- Bruce County Road 23, from Lorne Beach road to Bruce County Road 20
- Highway 21, from Amberley to Port Elgin
Things were also back to normal in the Municipality of Kincardine. The Davidson Centre was open, with access to the arena, health club and indoor walking track. The pool was open for the public swim at 2 p.m. Scheduled programming and activities at the Davidson Centre resumed at noon. And the Tiverton Sports Centre opened at 10 a.m.
The forecast is calling for warmer temperatures and rain by Wednesday.
