Bruce County to feature highlights of Elora Adventure Film Festival
The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre is presenting “Muse-Talks: Highlights from the 2024 Elora Adventure Film Festival,” with Ian Evans, Friday, March 21.

Taking place from 7-10 p.m. in the museum’s Bruce Power Theatre, this event will bring the spirit of adventure to Bruce County, offering an inspiring evening of short films and storytelling.

Following its second consecutive sold-out year, The Elora Adventure Film Festival is now making its way to the museum. Evans, founder of the festival, will showcase a selection of short films from the 2024 event. These films celebrate ordinary individuals accomplishing extraordinary feats in adventure and exploration.

With his perspective as both a filmmaker and festival organizer, Evans will provide behind-the-scenes insights into these remarkable stories. The evening will conclude with a question-and-answer session, allowing attendees to learn more about the world of adventure film-making.

This event is recommended for individuals, aged 16 and older, and is presented by Georgian College. Tickets are $10 each for museum members and $15 each for non-members. Seating is limited. Tickets can be purchased at www.brucemuseum.ca.

Ian Evans is the founder of the Elora Adventure Film Festival and has embraced adventure all his life – from scaling the shed roof at age three to skiing to the South Pole at age 58. He has climbed five of the seven Summits, cycled 5,000 kilometres unsupported across Australia (twice) around the coastline of Iceland, to the Arctic Ocean, 8,000 kilometres across Canada, and run 10 marathons.

He produced the documentary, “Lunatic: Life Begins at the End of Your Comfort Zone,” after becoming the oldest Canadian to ski from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole.
