Donna Shepherd won $5,306 in the Catch the Ace draw. She chose Envelope No. 25 which revealed the Nine of Clubs. Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets, the jackpot was more than $110,000! As the Ace of Spades remains hidden, we move on to another week and the estimated jackpot is expected to be $120,000! A few reminders when purchasing your tickets:

  • You must be in Ontario to purchase tickets on-line or in person.
  • Ensure you enter your E-mail correctly on-line so you will receive your tickets.
  • When buying in person, please write a single name on the ticket.
  • For your convenience, here is the website to buy on-line tickets: kincardineace.com

At the Saturday Meat Draw, Larry Bonnett was the double-dipper. Jay Southgate took home $260 in the 50/50 draw. Congratulations to all the winners! If you like to plan ahead and want to save the date, the next Mega Meat Draw will be May 3.

A reminder that we have added breaded chicken wings to our bar menu. A good deal at $10 - give them a try the next time you are at the Legion for a snack.

In case you missed it, for Legion members who get the Legion Magazine, one of our branch donations was featured in the Snapshots section of the latest issue. You can see our photo of our Special Olympics Donation ($5,000) on page 81 of the March/April issue.

Before we roll into our coming events, we are putting out a call for volunteers. We have a very active branch with a lot of exciting things going on, and these events are all fuelled by our amazing volunteers. We are always seeking more helpers, and there are many ways you can help, in the kitchen at events, helping with set-up and planning, etc. If you have some time to volunteer and would like to help, please send us an E-mail at info@kinlegion.com, indicating your areas of interest, and we will reach out to you.

This Friday night, March 14, is our St. Patty's Dinner and Dance with the Irish Cowboys. Entrance is by donation.
