Car used to ram doors open in Goderich break-in
(GODERICH, ON) - The Huron County OPP has charged an individual from Huron County, following a break-and-enter at the Goderich YMCA.

March 10, at 12:20 a.m., an individual used a small car to ram open the front doors of the YMCA building located on Suncoast Drive East in Goderich. The driver made repeated attempts and eventually broke the doors open to gain entry to the building.

Once inside, the suspect attempted to enter several areas of the facility and then departed in the same vehicle. The suspect was identified by police and was arrested later that same morning.

Philip REED, 59, of No Fixed Address has been charged with:
 
  • Break and Enter
  • Mischief Under $5,000
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Fail to Stop After Accident

The accused was processed and later released with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich, April 14.
