Walker House Museum hosting heritage dinner and play at Kincardine Legion
The Walker House House Museum is presenting a heritage dinner and play, “Paddy Walker: The Lost Years or How Paddy Walker Saved Canada and Transformed the World (A True Story!),” Sunday, May 4, at the Kincardine Legion.

Enjoy a delicious meal, followed by the show, written by Graham Mahood, which centres on the life of Paddy Walker prior to his arrival in Kincardine. Paddy was one of the major players in founding the Town of Kincardine (formerly Penetangore) on the shores of Lake Huron.

The play was last performed a decade ago, but the story is still fascinating – where did Paddy spend those “lost years,” and what part did he play in various significant moments in history? He went on to "transform" the Penetangore River to his liking in order to boost business at his establishment, the Walker House.

The event runs May 4 in the Legion Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. and the play at 7:30 p.m. This is a licensed event, with a door prize and 50/50 draw.

Tickets are $100 each, including dinner and the show; available by contacting the Walker House Museum at 519-396-1850 or by E-mail at thewalkerhousemuseum@gmail.com.
