Public invited to Community Town Halls about fighting drug-trafficking, substance abuse
The public is invited to Community Town Halls, to learn about the fight against drug-trafficking and substance abuse in the community.

The events are being hosted by the Community Safety and Well-Being Planning Crime Prevention Action Table, the Community Drug and Alcohol Strategy, and various partners.

The sessions will offer a comprehensive look at drug-trafficking, including what it is, warning signs, how investigations are conducted, and emerging trends. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from health professionals about substance abuse, harm-reduction approaches, and the range of addictions services to support individuals and families.

By bringing together experts from law enforcement, health and social services, these workshops aim to enhance awareness, foster collaboration, and strengthen community responses to the challenges associated with drug-trafficking and substance abuse.

The events are open to the public, run from 6-8 p.m., and no registration is required.
