Kincardine Legion Corner
The Ace has been caught! Roseanne Roy won the Catch the Ace draw, taking home the jackpot of $120,047! She chose Envelope No. 48 which contained the Ace of Spades. As we wrap up this round, we thank everyone who supported our three charities, Kincardine Legion, Tiverton Lions and Huron Shores Hospice, by purchasing tickets. And thank you to our retailers for making in-person ticket sales happen: Kincardine Legion Bar, Kwik Way in Tiverton, Sleepers Bed Gallery, Jean’s Family Restaurant, and InStyle Hair Studio. Once the numbers are sorted and settled, we will be sure to let you know how Branch 183 distributes the funds raised back into our community. Stay tuned for the next round of Catch the Ace!
At the
Saturday Meat Draw, Sheila McGhee was the double-dipper. The 50/50 draw winner was Janice Burgess who took home $108.50. Our next Mega Meat Draw will be May 3, and Hwy 19 will be providing the entertainment.
We have some new hours to announce at the Legion.
Branch 183 is now open Monday to Saturday, from Noon until 10 p.m. You can now hang out with us on Saturday nights. We are looking to add some music on Saturday nights as well, and we have lined up Greg Pahl who will play March 29, from 6-9 p.m.
In other new things, we have replaced the older menu at our Clubroom Bar with two new digital displays. The TV on the right will display our food and drink menus, and the left TV will show events and happenings at the Legion, and perhaps a few birthdays from time to time ... Happy 75th, Doc!. So be sure to check those out next time you drop by.
This Friday, March 21, marks the
12th anniversary of Trivia Nights at the Legion. This is quite a milestone! Congratulations to Laura Haight and everyone who helps make Trivia Nights great. I wonder how many trivia questions have been asked in all those years, can someone do the math? You can sign up your team at the Legion Bar.
