Organizers of Lucknow’s Music in the Fields disheartened by theft, damage at festival site
Organizers of Lucknow’s Music in the Fields are deeply disappointed at the theft and damage to containers on the festival site, northeast of Lucknow.
The incident was discovered Sunday, March 16, at Graceland, location of the three-day country music festival in August and the Dungannon Super Pull in June. A concerned citizen walking the trails around the area, found some wiring and alerted the festival organizers.
They found that the sea-cans used for storage had the locks cut, and the sea-can that houses the electrical panels for the stage, was stripped of breakers and wiring. They noted that this is a fully-fenced and locked area, but thieves still gained access.

The incident was reported to the South Bruce OPP, and anyone with information should contact the police at 1-888-310-1122.
Westario Power and Sepoy Trade Solutions, which installed the electrical infrastructure a couple of years ago, are assessing the cost of damages and replacement. The damage is estimated at $20,000 to $40,000, but could be more.
“The grounds are owned by the Lucknow and District Kinsmen,” said the organizers, in a statement to the Kincardine Record, “and Lucknow's Music in the Fields is a not-for-profit event. We are all volunteers who take time out of our lives to make the event happen.
“It is very disheartening to be taken advantage of like this, but the worst part is that the money that we have to use to replace and repair the equipment, would have otherwise been re-invested in our community and local organizations, such as food banks, hospitals, and schools.
“That said, the show will go on and we look forward to welcoming music fans to our 2025 edition of Lucknow’s Music in the Fields, Aug. 21-23!”
