​Huron Shores Hospice seeking volunteer for board of directors

Huron Shores Hospice invites the public to apply to become a member of the board of directors.

“This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a compassionate, community-driven organization that provides end-of-life care and grief support at no cost to residents in Kincardine, Huron-Kinloss, Saugeen Shores, and the surrounding area,” says executive director Cathy Herbert.

“We are currently seeking board members with experience in legal, health care, governance, or human resources to help guide our mission and ensure that end-of-life receives the same beauty, care, and respect as the beginning.

“As a board member, you would play a vital role in providing strategic leadership, advocacy, and governance while also helping to promote fund-raising initiatives and community engagement.”

Herbert says board members commit approximately six hours per month, plus an additional three hours for committee work. The position is a two-year term, renewable thereafter.
