Local CFUW, chamber hosting federal all-candidates meeting at Kincardine United Church
The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Kincardine and District, and the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce are providing voters with an opportunity to meet Huron-Bruce candidates running in the April 28 federal election.
The Huron-Bruce all-candidates meeting will be held Monday, April 7, at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.), at the Kincardine United Church fellowship hall, 721 Princes Street, Kincardine.
The CFUW is a non-partisan organization, but believes voting is both a privilege and a duty. The group encourages all eligible voters to exercise their voice through the election period. Advance polls will be held April 18-21, and Election Day is April 28.
Working with the Kincardine chamber, the CFUW is providing the opportunity for voters to be informed, and for candidates to meet voters who live in Kincardine and surrounding areas within the Huron-Bruce riding, to hear about what is important to them.
The CFUW Kincardine and District is one of 94 CFUW clubs across Canada dedicated to advancing the status of women. The group is open to all women and individuals who identify as women. A post-secondary degree is not required.
