Hike for Hospice set to run May 10 in Kincardine
The 9th annual Hike for Hospice will be held Saturday, May 10, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine. Registration is at 9:30 a.m., and the hike begins at 10 a.m.
The goal this year is to raise $70,000, and Huron Shores Hospice is off to a great start with $1,622.30 already raised through on-line donations.
Hike for Hospice is a non-competitive walk through the scenic Kincardine trails. More than just a walk, it’s an opportunity to gather as a community, connect with hospice staff, volunteers, families who have used the facility, and others who support end-of-life care. It’s a day to embrace compassion, camaraderie, and community spirit — all in support of a meaningful cause.
After the hike, there will be a barbecue (by donation) at the Davidson Centre. Enjoy great food, conversation with friends, and celebrate the compassion that drives the hospice’s work.
Every dollar you raise will help provide hospice care and support families in the community.
A special thank you to title sponsor,
NPX, for its ongoing support of Huron Shores Hospice. This year, NPX is generously providing free T-shirts to the first hikers who register. T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to sign up early!
