Kincardine Health and Wellness Show set for this Saturday
The Kincardine Health and Wellness Show has returned, and is slated for Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Kincardine Hall at the Davidson Centre.
Glenis Vardy of Kincardine ran a successful Health and Wellness Show from 2014-19. Several business owners attended those events and enjoyed the engagement of the public.
This year, the Health and Wellness Committee has chosen to revive this event as a platform for like-minded vendors to share ideas and resources with individuals seeking ways to improve or enhance their lifestyles, whether it’s through physical, emotional, or environmental means.
The show will feature about 45 vendors, from across Grey and Bruce counties. There will be 10 vendor presentations from the main stage, talking about their business or products, beginning at 10:10 a.m. and going until 3 p.m.
Admission is free to the public, but guests are being given the chance to give back to the community, if they choose.
There are 2 charities that are being supported this year: the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, and the Kincardine Food Bank.
The foundation is working tirelessly on a capital campaign to raise $18-million for the redevelopment of the hospital, as well as purchasing an MRI. If you'd like to donate to this cause, watch for the shiny bed-pan donation bowls at the show's entrance.
Equally important to is the food bank. A collection box will be set up at the main entrance of the show where donations of non-perishable food and personal items, such as deodorant, toothpaste, soap and feminine hygiene products, will be accepted.
Some examples of vendors' businesses include:
- Assisted living for seniors
- At-home care
- Fitness programs
- Essential oils
- Victim services
- Chemical-free cleaning
- Weight-loss programs
- Hypnosis
- Travel
- Chiropractic, massage and holistic medicine
- Psychic readings
- Yoga and meditation
- And so much more
Whether you're looking to improve your lifestyle, learn new tips, or simply find motivation, this show will inspire and empower you to take charge of your well-being.
