South Bruce OPP report impaired driver; and workplace incident
DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED AFTER COLLISION
(BROCKTON, ON) - April 28, at 9:08 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a motor vehicle collision along Highway 21 in the Municipality of Kincardine.
On arrival, officers observed that a single motor vehicle had entered the ditch. The driver departed the scene but was located shortly thereafter. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the involved driver who was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.
Brett HAGAN, 21, of the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie was charged with:
- Impaired Operation, CC 320.14(1)(a)
- Dangerous Operation, CC 320.13(1)
POLICE RESPOND TO WORKPLACE INCIDENT
(MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH BRUCE, ON) - April 29, at approximately 9:25 a.m., the South Bruce OPP, Bruce County Paramedic Services, and South Bruce Fire Rescue Service attended a business address along Bruce County Road 3 in the Municipality of South Bruce for a workplace incident.
As a result of the incident, a 23-year-old resident of West Grey was transported by air ambulance to a trauma centre in London with serious injuries.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour has been notified and will continue the investigation.
The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice on June 18, 2025.
