Impaired driver arrested at RIDE check in Brockton
(BROCKTON, ON) - May 3, at 3:28 p.m., the South Bruce OPP was conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check along Concession 8, Municipality of Brockton.
A vehicle entered the area where police then spoke with the driver. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing.
Owen BREEN, 19, of Brockton, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - B.A.C. 80 plus, CC 320.14(1)(b)
- Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero, HTA 44.1(3)
The accused is set to appear May 28, at the Walkerton Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
