Stolen property recovered in Municipality of Kincardine
(KINCARDINE, ON) - The South Bruce OPP has arrested two people after a search warrant was executed in the Municipality of Kincardine.
May 2, members of the Grey Bruce Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Huron Perth CSCU, OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit, and the South Bruce Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence along Albert Road, Municipality of Kincardine.
CSCU members recovered approximately $28,000 worth of stolen property, including an
All-Terrain Vehicle (above), a snowmobile (below), and surveying equipment. A small quantity of suspected illicit drugs was also seized. Owners of the seized property have been contacted.
As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested.
Laurent LUCIER, 47, of the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime, CC 354(1)(a) - four counts
- Possession of a Schedule I substance, CDSA 4(1)
The accused was released and is set to appear at the Walkerton Court of Justice, June 4.
Dale CONANT, 46, of the Municipality of Kincardine was charged with:
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, CC 117.01(1) - three counts
- Fail to comply with release order, CC 145(5)(a)
- Fail to comply with probation order, CC 733.1(1) - two counts
- Possession of property obtained by crime, CC 354(1)(a) - four counts
- Possession of a Schedule I substance, CDSA 4(1)
The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
