Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary raises more than $3,500 at Geranium Sale

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary has raised more than $3,500 at its annual Geranium Sale.

Held May 9-13 in the garden centre at Canadian Tire in Kincardine, the event was a great success, thanks to the generosity of owner John Satosek and the community.

The auxiliary received $1 from the sale of every four-inch pot of geraniums sold on those days. Auxiliary volunteers were on hand to greet and help customers with their purchases.

June 4, Satosek presented the auxiliary with a cheque for $2,000 which included the sale of the geraniums plus a generous donation from him. The bed pans collected another $1,564.65, for a total of $3,564.65.

Thanks to Tracy Capeling for organizing this event and to the auxiliary members who volunteered to help out. We are fortunate to live in such a caring and supportive community.

All the money raised goes toward purchasing new equipment for the Kincardine Hospital.
