Two Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary members receive 50-year service awards

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary held its annual Awards and Dessert meeting, Wednesday, May 28, at the Inverlyn Estates Clubhouse. The desserts were supplied by the auxiliary executive, and were plentiful and as delicious as usual.

Ginny Ross and her committee of Bessie Farrell and Pat Emmerton, handed out the special yearly awards to deserving members.

Two ladies have been members for 50 years: Mary Lou McKee and Marg Scurfield. They each received a certificate and a carnation. Marg was unable to attend, but her friend, Sylvia Abbot read a message from her.

Both Mary Lou and Marg expressed how different the fund-raising is accomplished now but they both keep up with all the auxiliary news. They thanked the auxiliary for this recognition of their 50 years and added, "Keep up the good work!"

The following received certificates and carnations for their years of service to the auxiliary:
 

• Diane Rainbow, five years
• Dale Chipman, 10 years
• Nicole Whitwell, 15 years
• Dotty McClelland, 20 years

The auxiliary truly appreciates these members, as well as all the others who keep the group so active, vibrant and busy raising funds to help provide new and up-to-date equipment for the Kincardine Hospital.
