“Blue Bird Print” is next print in Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary fund-raiser
“Blue Bird Print” by Nova Scotian folk artist Maud Lewis, is the next print in the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary's Art/Easel Program fund-raiser, on display at Sobeys Kincardine.
This print focuses on a beautiful blue bird flying over one of Lewis’ typical spring farm scenes where the apple trees are in full bloom. Lewis used bright colours in her paintings and the subjects were often animals, birds or flowers.
The second print on display at Sobeys, is entitled, “Bobby Orr Trophies.” This collage features images of Bobby Orr throughout his career with the Boston Bruins, as well as his awarded trophies. A Hockey Hall of Fame gold-plated coin sits above the trophies.
The print at the Kincardine Hospital is entitled, “The Harbour” by Maud Lewis.
The print at Rona Kincardine is entitled, “Toronto Maple Leafs Retired Numbers.”
The print at Boston Pizza in Kincardine is entitled, “Metallica, Master of Puppets.”
The starting bid for each print is $215, and they are on display until Thursday, June 26.
