As required under the Education Act, each school board in Ontario must create a multi-year plan spanning a minimum of three years. In May, 2024, Bluewater District School Board trustees voted to initiate a review of the existing plan, which included an opportunity for public feedback.
The input was then used to assist trustees during their review process with changes incorporated into board policy during late fall.
“We are excited to forge a new path with our updated multi-year strategic plan, which guides our work in supporting students on their learning journey as they navigate the road map to growth and success,” said board chairperson Jane Thomson.
“Thank you to the many members of the public who contributed their valuable feedback as we conducted our review. Your voices have helped shape a plan that reflects the educational priorities of our communities in the coming years.”
The updated plan can be found on the board’s
website with new plaque-mounted posters soon to be on display in schools and work sites.
