Fuelled by Generosity: “Giving Cruise Day” in downtown Kincardine, June 27
Car enthusiasts, collectors, and the Kincardine community are gathering for an evening of horsepower and heart at the first Cruise Night of the season in downtown Kincardine, Friday, June 27.
At that event, the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation is calling on classic car buffs to help raise $18-million for the expansion of the Kincardine hospital and the addition of a much-needed MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) machine.
For one night only, your generosity will have double the impact! Every dollar donated to the hospital
redevelopment campaign, June 27, will be matched, up to $25,000, thanks to the incredible support of Stephanie and Todd Farrell, local residents and supporters of community initiatives.
Stephanie, a dedicated local health-care professional and the newest member of the foundation’s board of directors, knows first-hand how vital this hospital expansion and MRI are, to improve the quality of health care here at home. Now, she and Todd are encouraging Kincardine to rise to the challenge and raise a total of $50,000 for this transformative project.
"Giving back to this community is something we truly believe in,” says Stephanie. “Kincardine and our local communities deserve a hospital that can meet the growing needs of the residents, and we’re proud to help make that a reality.
“We hope our matching donation inspires others to participate in helping to raise the $18-million local share required to ensure this redevelopment happens, to provide modern, expanded services and life-saving technology for Kincardine, Huron-Kinloss and Bruce County.”
Last year, “Giving Cruise Day” raised more than $86,000 – with an exciting on-the-spot additional
matching donation given by John and Diane Satosek. Donations can be made during the car show at the campaign table, located in front of HuronTel, or throughout the day on-line at
www.kincardinefoundation.ca.
This year, donors can make a multi-year pledge toward the campaign which can be paid annually or via on-line monthly giving. You can sign up for a monthly giving plan right at Cruise Night.
