​Kincardine Canada Day festivities kick off with Cruise Night, Friday
Canada Day festivities in the Municipality of Kincardine are set to kick off Friday, June 27, with Cruise Night, running 5:30-8:30 p.m., in downtown Kincardine.

Saturday, June 28, the following activities will be held in Tiverton:
 
  • 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Market and vendors with family games, activities, and crafts.
  • 12 p.m. - Grand opening of the new Tiverton Splash Pad.
  • 5–7 p.m. - Barbecue hosted by the Tiverton and District Lions Club. Build your own cardboard “drive-in” car for the evening movie after you enjoy your supper – there’s even prizes for best in show!
  • 7 p.m. - Movie Night with “Moana 2” in the Tiverton Annex. Concessions will be available for purchase. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs.

The Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band Saturday Night Parade is at 8 p.m. in downtown Kincardine – don’t miss this summer tradition!

Sunday, June 29:
 
  • The first Summer Sing-a-long of the season begins at 7 p.m., in Dunsmoor Park, Kincardine, featuring Robin Smith.
  • Canada Day Fireworks begin at dusk from the North Pier in Kincardine. Your best view is at Macpherson Park – bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Rain date is Monday, June 30. Follow on Facebook @KincardineWelcomes for event updates.

Monday, June 30:

Monday Market in the Park at Victoria Park in Kincardine. Visit more than 70 amazing vendors offering everything from local eats to artisan goods.

Tuesday, July 1:

The Canada Day celebrations kick off with the parade at 11 a.m., marching from Victoria Park down Queen Street, then Harbour Street and ending at the flag pole, where the ceremony will be held.

There will then be a party in Macpherson and Dunsmoor Parks, featuring:
 
  • Canada Day opening ceremony
  • Family activities, games, and entertainment
  • Barbecue by the Kincardine and District Lions Club
  • Live music by Jocelyn Leidy School of Music, Hollow Creek Reunion, and Greg Ritchie

A huge thanks to the sponsors of the Canada Day events, including Bar Down, the Lighthouse Blues Festival, the federal government of Canada, Ontario Power Generation, and Shankar Law Office.

The Canada Day holiday does affect some municipal services.

  • Welcome Centre Pop-Up location at Macpherson Park, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Regular curbside waste and recycling collection

WHAT’S CLOSED JULY 1:
 
  • Welcome Centre at 707 Queen Street – visit the pop-up at Macpherson Park
  • Municipal Administration Centre at 1475 Concession 5, Kincardine
  • Davidson Centre at 601 Durham Street, Kincardine
  • Tiverton and District Sports Centre at 20 McLaren Street, Tiverton
  • Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services Administration Office at 127 Mahood-Johnston Drive, Kincardine
  • Underwood Satellite Office and Underwood Community Centre at 1240 Concession 6, Underwood
  • Kincardine Waste Management Centre at 437 Sideroad 15, Armow
