Bruce County household hazardous waste day in Kincardine, July 12
Bruce County is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event, Saturday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Kincardine public works yard, located at 140 Valentine Avenue, Kincardine.
This is your opportunity to clear out hazardous material from your home, garage or basement and make sure it’s handled responsibly. Household hazardous waste materials include paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, anti-freeze, oil filters, solvents, household cleaners, fluorescent lights, fertilizers, fuel, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishers, pesticides, and pool chemicals.

Note:
- Commercial waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste, PCBs, ammunition and flares are not accepted.
- Only containers with a volume of 30 litres or less will be accepted.
- Waste must be received in containers that can be disposed of.
- Containers will not be emptied and returned (such as gas cans).
- Empty metal paint cans are Blue Box recyclable.
Important Guidelines:
- Attendees must remain in their vehicles.
- Place waste materials in the open trunk for unloading by event staff.
