The parade committee appreciates all those who have pre-registered If you still want to take part, it’s helpful if you pre-register at www.ripleyreunion.ca/parade.

The reunion, under the theme, “Celebrating the Ground We Grew Up on,” runs Thursday, July 31, to Monday, Aug. 4, with four days packed full of fun and community spirit.

Held every 10 years, the Ripley Reunion is more than just a weekend. It’s a generational celebration of home. It’s a time when former residents return, current residents roll out the welcome mat, and new faces experience the warmth of small-town southwestern Ontario.

Whether you grew up on a nearby concession or are just discovering the charm of Ripley for the first time, the reunion promises a good time and memories that will last another 10 years.

The weekend honours our shared roots, celebrates where we’ve been, and welcomes what’s ahead. From family fun to live music, historic displays and a whole lot of community connection, the event has something for everyone.

Here’s a peek at what’s in store:

  • Thursday, July 31: Opening Ceremonies, Ambassador Competition and Masked Singer Show, sponsored by Hurontel
  • Friday, Aug. 1: Back to School Come and Go, trivia for all ages, and a full evening of main stage entertainment, featuring Local Anesthesia, Bradley Hale and Little Rock
  • Saturday, Aug. 2: The Mammoth Parade rolls through town, followed by sports, family activities, live music and the Seniors’ Dance
  • Sunday, Aug. 3: Kids can bounce the day away with inflatables while everyone enjoys live stage hypnosis and sports activities, all followed by the Shirt Tail Dance
  • Monday, Aug. 4: It’s the final day! Don’t miss the Bed Races, Beard Growing and Mullet Competition, more live entertainment and a grand finale fireworks display
