Kincardine Hospital born … Ripley raised? Let’s give back!
Sam and Heather Finnie, proud members of the health care ambassadors committee, are helping lead the charge to raise $18-million for the community’s share of the cost of a new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine and redevelopment project at the Kincardine Hospital.
Always on the look-out for creative fund-raising ideas, Heather had a lightbulb moment!
With the Ripley Reunion just around the corner, she wondered, “What if everyone attending who was born at Kincardine Hospital and raised in Ripley, tossed $20 into the hat?”
With her own four kids and five siblings, that’s already $200 (if they all chip in)!
This weekend, look for volunteers at the reunion wearing
snazzy pins (above). They’ll be ready to collect your $20 donation. Let’s see what a difference Ripley babies can make!
