Steve Liddle won $975 in this week’s
Catch the Ace draw. He chose Envelope No. 27 which revealed the Two of Hearts — so the Ace of Spades remains in play an the progressive jackpot continues to build. Be sure to get your tickets for next week’s draw at any of our participating retailers or on-line at
kincardineace.com.
There was no regular Saturday Meat Draw this past weekend, but we’re making up for it in a big way with our
Mega Meat Draw happening Saturday, Aug. 16. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the event runs until 6 p.m. We’ll have a good selection of meat prizes, bonus draws, and with your help, a large 50/50 draw throughout the afternoon. The bar will be open, and food will be provided by the Tusk Express Kitchen — join us for some favourites from our old friends Braden and Jordan. Live entertainment will be provided by TNT Boom! Bring your friends, enjoy a great afternoon, and support your local Legion.
At the Legion this Saturday, from 7-10 p.m., the
Lighthouse Swing Band will be playing, and the theme of the night is ‘A Night in Paris.’ Admission to the dance is ‘Pay What You Can,’ with a suggested $10-20 range. Professional dance instructor Carmen Coburn will be present to teach Ballroom and Line Dancing steps (free to all attendees).
Lastly, let’s give a huge thank you to the
Ripley Reunion committee and all the volunteers for their hard work in bringing this year’s reunion to life. Your time, effort, and spirit are what make events like this such a success — great work!
