The Lucknow 4-H Dairy Invitational welcomed about 160 participants, Monday, Aug. 4. It was a very successful event.

Happy Birthday wishes to Shauna Lochhead, Bev Fry, Charlie Smith (on his 93rd), Connie Hehn of Point Clark, Betty Ann Thompson, Rolly Glover, Rodion Dobuynski (son of Katya and Vova Kovalenko) and Sasha Segal-Bridge (Sandy).

Happy 49th Wedding Anniversary to Ian and Jean MacDonald, and anniversary wishes to Shane and Melissa Arnold and Carmen and Jeff Knapp.

The Federations of Agriculture in Bruce and Grey counties invite the public to their open house at the Saugeen Children's Safety Village to see the new build there. Everyone is welcome Sunday, Aug. 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., to have lunch, tour the village and meet the amazing instructors who make it possible. The safety village is located at 261123 Grey County Road 28, Hanover. E-mail grey@ofa.on.ca with numbers to help the organizers plan for lunch.

Hope you were able to view the Full Sturgeon Moon, Aug 9. It was quite a sight to behold!

Marilyn Reid enjoyed a visit with Sean and Sandi Gander at her home, Sunday afternoon.

The Bruce Botanical Food Gardens in Ripley are hosting a Garden Tour Fund-raiser, Aug. 9 and 10. Tour four gardens around the county. Cost is $35/person.

The Clarke family of Holyrood lost their house and all their belongings in a fire Saturday morning. They'd appreciate donations of any kind.

The Bruce County Junior Farmers reunion was held at the home of Heather and Sam Finnie, Sunday afternoon.

Congratulations to all the reunion community celebrations: Seaforth, Wiarton, Chesley and Listowel (150th).

Ripley outdid itself, again, with a fabulous reunion weekend! Paisley and Nora Farrell with their grandma, Fran Farrell, visited and sang at Rosewood RVilla in Ripley, Thursday, with their renditions of reunion songs - the “Ripley Reunion Ramble” from 1995 and “The Ground We Grew Up On” for 2025! It was a great afternoon with a visit from Matt Farrell, reunion chairman, who was interviewed by Dianne Simpson of the school reunion committee.

We welcomed Rev. Cathy Hird of Owen Sound as guest minister, and Susan Ryman as guest musician, for the Ripley Reunion community church service, Sunday morning, with the St. Andrew's United Church choir and community members. Thank you so much for a beautiful service and lunch afterwards, provided by the reunion committee.

The fireworks were fantastic, to say the least. What a blast to end the Ripley Reunion! Well done!
