“Spring” is next print in Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary fund-raiser
"Spring” by contemporary artist Sam Toth, is the next print in the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary's Art/Easel Program fund-raiser, on display at Sobeys Kincardine.
This licensed print comes from the “Meet the Mustards” collection and features two people riding a tandem bicycle and taking along their pets, with the cats in the front basket and the dogs over the back wheel. Toth’s work is full of character and humour, and feels eccentrically English.
The second print on display at Sobeys, is entitled, “White Cat with Flowers” by Nova Scotian folk artist Maud Lewis. This limited edition print has a beautiful white cat beside a lovely vase of flowers and two butterflies hovering overhead. Lewis used bright colours in her paintings, and the subjects were often flowers or animals.
The print at the Kincardine Hospital is entitled, “Bear and Cubs” by Diane Levesque.
The print at Rona Kincardine is entitled, “Metallica – Ride the Lightning with Platinum LP.”
The print at Boston Pizza in Kincardine is entitled, “Bobby Orr Photo Collage.”
The starting bid for all prints is $215, and they are on display until Thursday, Aug. 28.
