Brockton issues partial open-air burn ban
The chief fire official for the Municipality of Brockton has issued a partial ban on open air fires (agricultural, brush, and derelict buildings) until further notice, due to recent extreme temperatures and a lack of rainfall.
This partial ban takes effect immediately, and agricultural, brush, and derelict building burn permits are suspended until further notice.
Recreational fires (for cooking and warmth) are still permitted to continue, in compliance with Brockton’s Open Air Burn ByLaw 2017-034.
Thank you for your co-operation in maintaining public safety.
