South Bruce OPP report collision, break-in; and arson
DRIVER CHARGED IN COLLISION ON HIGHWAY 21 NEAR TIVERTON
(MUNICIPALITY OF KINCARDINE, ON) - Aug. 13, at approximately 12 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a collision at the intersection of Highway 21 and Bruce County Road 20, north of Tiverton.
Police attended with Bruce County Paramedic Services and Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services, where they discovered a collision between two passenger vehicles which were blocking the intersection.
Three individuals were transported to a local hospital with injuries. Highway 21 was closed between Bruce County Road 20 and Concession 2 for about two hours.
A 28-year-old motorist of Toronto has been charged with Fail to yield to traffic on through highway, HTA 136(1)(b).
OPP INVESTIGATE BREAK-AND-ENTER IN HURON-KINLOSS
(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) - Aug. 2, the South Bruce OPP received a report of an overnight break-and-enter at a rural business property along Bruce County Road 1 in the Township of Huron-Kinloss.
Police attended the location and found that a storage shed on the property had been entered, and approximately $1,000 worth of food and drink items had been taken. Surveillance camera footage has since been obtained.
Police are trying to identify two individuals who arrived on an All-Terrain Vehicle with an attached small utility trailer. Descriptions of two individuals are as follows:
- Slim build, tall, wearing light-coloured hoodie and light-coloured jacket, skull mask, head lamp, wearing gloves
- Slim build, shorter height, face partially covered, white zip up hoodie/jacket with hood up, dark coloured jogging pants, backpack, gloves


OPP INVESTIGATE ARSON IN BURGOYNE
(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - Members of the South Bruce OPP are investigating an arson in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
Aug. 14, at 5:16 a.m., the South Bruce OPP and Arran-Elderslie Fire and Emergency Services attended a residence in Burgoyne in response to an active structure fire. Officers determined that the fire had been deliberately set by an individual who was still on scene. That person was taken into custody, without incident.
The South Bruce OPP Crime Unit is engaged and is investigating the matter as an arson. Updates will be made when available.
