Sherry Roumey wins Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary Wheelbarrow of Wine raffle
Sherry Roumey (right) has won the 27 bottles of wine and wheelbarrow in the South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary’s annual Wheelbarrow of Wine, Dine and Nine raffle. The wine was donated by auxiliary members, and the wheelbarrow was donated by Country Depot.
The raffle was a huge success, with the 1,450 tickets completely sold out.
The draw was made Wednesday morning (Aug. 13), at the auxiliary’s Gift Shop, with president Jeanne Lindsay drawing the winning tickets.
The following also won prizes:
- Second place, a $250 gift certificate to the Bruce Inn - Catherine MacGregor
- Third place, a framed print, entitled “The Pines,” by Group of Seven artist Lawren Harris - Kim McDonald
- Fourth place, a 4X9 with carts from the Kincardine Golf Club – Ken Cousins
- Fifth place, a 4X9 from Somerhill Golf Club – Dave Weiler
- Sixth place, a $100 gift certificate to the King’s Pearl Pub and Eatery – Debi Johnson
- Seventh place, a 2X9 from Ainsdale Golf Course – Susie Johnson

The auxiliary appreciates everyone who sold tickets, bought tickets and donated the prizes. Special thanks to draw committee of Lynn Bradley, Janet Ritz and Liz Nurton for doing such an excellent job of organizing this event.
The committee presented a cheque for $6,535 to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, represented by Dianne MacArthur and Mary Hall.
