​Inflatable raft not ideal for Saugeen River, say police

(BROCKTON, ON) - Sept. 21, at 8:42 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a person stranded along the Saugeen River after the individual’s inflatable raft had punctured.

After approximately an hour into the search, officers located the individual. The Hanover Fire Department attended with a rescue vessel in order to bring the person to shore, uninjured.

While inflatable watercraft are a fun activity for the swimming pool, you put yourself at risk when attempting to take them down the Saugeen River or out on Lake Huron.
