Patricia Watson of Kincardine remembered for her love of family, children and her community
Patricia Lydia Watson of Kincardine, died peacefully, Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, at the age of 94.

Born Patricia Jamieson, Aug. 24, 1931, in Edinburgh, Scotland, she was the adopted daughter of the late Jensine and Thomas Jamieson. She survived the Battle of Britain and the Second World War but sadly lost her father to the war.

During her teen years, Patricia volunteered with children at the local hospital, and her compassion for children would play an important part in her life. Following the war, she and her mother emigrated to Canada to be closer to family.

July 4, 1953, Patricia married Hartley Watson and they raised three sons: Steven Watson (Pennie), Jeffery Watson (Sharron) and Andrew Watson (Giselle); and welcomed six grandchildren: Briar Watson (Chris Wallach), Jenna Scott (Ben), Justine, Kortney Boyadjian (Paul) and Tyler; plus seven great-grandchildren: Grant, Leah, Jack, Ivy, Patrick, Cohen and William.

Predeceased by her grandson, Matthew Watson (2020).

Patricia gave much of her time to raising children, her own plus more than 20 foster children in the Wingham and Kincardine area. She ran a home-based daycare for many years where she was known as “Mommy Watson.” She sold Avon for 10 years and was an Avon district manager for three years.

As an active member of the Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary and her church, Patricia was very involved in her community. She and Hartley travelled extensively after retiring, a trip to Britain, cruises and travel that took them across North American in their motor home before health issues slowed them down.

Patricia touched the lives of many on her journey through life, and she will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at 2 p.m., at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine. Light refreshments to follow.

Interment, Kincardine Cemetery, at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey- Bruce or the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation would be appreciated.

Donations and condolences may be made on-line at www.daveylinklaterfuneralhome.com.
