Construction worker struck by vehicle in Underwood
(UNDERWOOD, ON) - Nov. 24, at 5:19 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a collision on Highway 21 in the area of Underwood.
Police attended with Bruce County Paramedic Services and Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services, to discover that a 70-year-old construction worker had been struck by a passenger vehicle.
The worker was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and then flown to a London area trauma centre by air ambulance.
Highway 21 was closed, between Concession 6 and Concession 8, until 11:58 p.m.
Police and the Ontario Ministry of Labour continue to investigate the collision. If you have any information in relation to this matter, or if you possess camera footage from that area on that date and time, contact the South Bruce OPP.
