Kincardine’s Walker House Museum hosting exhibit by local photographer Sandy Nelson
The Walker House Museum in Kincardine is hosting an exhibition of Sandy Nelson’s stunning photographic works, from Jan. 22-25.

Nelson's images – from Antarctica to Africa - capture the beauty and spirit of wild places around the world.

The museum is also holding a special talk by Nelson, Saturday, Jan. 24, from 1-2:30 p.m. There, she will share insights and stories from her global photographic journey. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be provided.

To register for this event, contact the Walker House at 519-396-1850 or by E-mail at thewalkerhousemuseum@gmail.com.

Nelson’s passion for photography began during a 2002 Antarctic expedition, inspiring her life-long dedication to documenting wildlife and natural landscapes. Since retiring in 2015, she has travelled extensively to photograph regions, including the Galapagos, Costa Rica, Alaska, and Africa.

A member of the Victoria Park Gallery in downtown Kincardine since 2020, she aims to inspire care for our planet through her imagery. Her work has received multiple honours, including ROM Wildlife Photo of the Year (2025).
