​Arrest made in weapons incident in Paisley

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - Nov. 27, at 9:46 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received a call about weapons at a residence in Paisley.

It was alleged that an altercation occurred between two individuals, and a firearm was brandished. The individuals were known to each other, and this was an isolated incident.

The victim fled the area and contacted police. Officers attended and contained the property where the accused exited and surrendered to police. There were no reported injuries. A search warrant was executed at the residence, Nov. 28, and police seized several firearms and ammunition.

Timothy COLLINS, 53, of Arran-Elderslie was charged with:
 

• Pointing a firearm, CC 87
• Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a)
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, CC 354(1)(a)

The accused was held for a bail hearing, Nov. 28, released from custody and is set to reappear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, Jan. 7, 2026, to answer to the charges.
