Huron County OPP report assaults; domestic violence; and impaired driver
CHARGES LAID AFTER INCIDENT ON GODERICH SQUARE
(GODERICH, ON) - The Huron County OPP has charged an individual, following an incident in the Town of Goderich last month.
Tuesday, Nov. 11, just before 10 a.m., Huron OPP officers were contacted about an individual who was reportedly causing a disturbance and kicking over Remembrance Day wreaths as organizers were setting up displays for the event being held on the Goderich Square. Police located the suspect, who proceeded to resist arrest. The accused was eventually taken into custody.
Deseree VOISIN, 27, of Huron East was charged with:
- Causing a Disturbance
- Resist Peace Officer
- Assault
- Fail to Comply with Probation - (two counts)
The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing, later remanded into custody, and has a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich, Dec. 15.
ASSAULT CHARGES LAID AFTER INCIDENT IN GODERICH
(GODERICH, ON) - The Huron County OPP has charged an individual, following an incident in the Town of Goderich last month.
Saturday, Nov. 15, just before 2 p.m., Huron OPP officers were contacted about an individual who was reportedly causing a disturbance at a retail business property on Huron Road in Goderich. Police located the suspect, who proceeded to hit a police cruiser with a hockey stick, then flee on a bicycle. The accused was later located and arrested.
Trevor STRUTH, 48, of no fixed address was charged with:
- Causing a Disturbance
- Assault a Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply with Probation - (three counts)
The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing and later released from custody, with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich, Dec. 15.
INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN 14 CHARGES
(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) - Nov. 11, members of the Huron County OPP investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh (ACW).
As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed criminal acts against the partner.
A 44-year-old individual of ACW has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Assault - Spousal - (six counts)
- Assault with a Weapon - (two counts)
- Aggravated Assault - Spousal
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm - Spousal - (four counts)
- Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm – Spousal
The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing, and then released from custody with a later court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.

IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP
(GODERICH, ON) - The Huron County OPP has charged an ACW resident with an impaired driving offence, following a traffic stop in the Town of Goderich.
Just after 9:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on Wolfe Street in Goderich. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.
The accused provided breath samples before a qualified OPP Intoxilizer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.
Christopher PLANT, 60, of ACW has been charged with Impaired Operation - Over 80.
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused's driver's licence was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich, Dec. 29.
