Two arrested for intimate partner violence in Walkerton and Arran-Elderslie

(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) - On the evening of Dec. 3, the South Bruce OPP responded to two separate incidents of intimate partner violence, resulting in arrests.

At 9:18 p.m., police responded to a disturbance between intimate partners at a residence in Walkerton, where it is alleged an assault occurred.

A 62-year-old resident of Brockton was charged with:
 

• Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a)
• Mischief, CC 430(1)(a)

The accused is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date.

At 10:36 p.m., police responded to another altercation between intimate partners, in Arran-Elderslie, where it is alleged that an assault occurred.

A 50-year-old resident of Arran-Elderslie was charged with:
 

• Assault, CC 266 - three counts
• Uttering threats, CC 264.1(1)(a)

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, released from custody, and is set to re-appear at a later date.
