Giving Tuesday "big match" raises $52,175 for Wingham Hospital
The Wingham and District Hospital Foundation is marking another exceptional Giving Tuesday, thanks to the generosity of local donors and Lucknow Pharmasave.

Dec. 2, Lucknow Pharmasave offered a $10,000 matching gift, doubling donations made to the foundation throughout the day. The community embraced the opportunity, raising an impressive $52,175 in support of local health care.

Pharmacist Dionne Smith was proud to be part of the event. “This was a meaningful way to give back and support the overall health of the community.”

This year’s “big match” proceeds went toward a bone-density scanner for the hospital. With the success of the event, the scanner is now fully-funded and is anticipated to be operational by January, 2026, improving access to essential diagnostic testing close to home.

Donations were matched both on-line and in-person. The drop-in event at Lucknow Pharmasave saw more than 80 people sign the hospital Christmas card, enjoy holiday treats and show their support.

“Giving Tuesday has quickly become a vital part of keeping our hospital well-equipped each year,” said Nicole Duquette-Jutzi, executive director of the Wingham Hospital Foundation. “The generosity of Lucknow Pharmasave and each donor make a real difference.”

The success of this year’s event builds on a growing community tradition. The Giving Tuesday big match continues to demonstrate the power of partnerships among local businesses, donors, and the hospital foundation to keep health care strong in the region.

The foundation extends sincere thanks to everyone who contributed, shared the message, or helped make the event a success. To learn more about the foundation or make your holiday gift, visit www.wdhfoundation.ca.
