Kincardine man is $1-million richer
Craig Jones of Kincardine is a millionaire after winning the Guaranteed $1-Million Prize from the Nov. 11, 2015, LOTTO 6/49 draw.

“I actually bought the ticket on a whim," said Jones, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings. "It was clipped to my car’s sun visor for over a month before I checked it. I finally checked my ticket on my birthday when I was coming home from a night shift. What a great surprise!”

He plans to share his winnings with his family and do some travelling. “I’ll save the remainder for the future,” he said, with a smile.

His winning ticket was purchased at Hi-Way Variety on Queen Street in Kincardine.

Since LOTTO 6/49 was launched in June, 1982, there has been a total of 3,334 LOTTO 6/49 draws with Ontario players winning more than $11-billion in prizes, including 1,316 jackpot wins. There have been 274 Guaranteed $1-Million Prize draws to date. One hundred and seventeen of the winning tickets have been sold in Ontario. For more information, visit olg.ca and click on Lotteries.
