Kincardine Hospital capital campaign reaches $12-million milestone
The Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation has announced that its community fund-raising campaign has reached the $12-million mark, bringing the organization two-thirds of the way toward its $18-million goal for the redevelopment project at the Kincardine Hospital.
Launched in January, 2022, the campaign has been powered by the dedication of its health-care ambassadors. Despite winter weather keeping many at home, a few volunteers braved the snow to celebrate this milestone with a photo, holding a sign that proudly reads “$12-million raised; $6-million to go!”
Foundation leaders expressed gratitude to the volunteers and the community for their extraordinary support.
“This achievement reflects the generosity and commitment of our local communities,” said campaign co-chairperson Kathryn Freimanis. “We are confident that, together, we will raise the final $6-million in 2026, just in time for the start of the hospital expansion.”
The expansion project will strengthen local health-care infrastructure, ensuring modern facilities and improved services for patients and families, including Bruce County’s first Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine.
The foundation reminds donors that contributions made before Dec. 31 will qualify for a charitable tax receipt for the 2025 tax year. Community members are encouraged to make their gift now and be part of this historic effort to transform local health care. Donate on-line at
