Kincardine Legion Corner
Melody Smillie of Kincardine won $2,855 in the
Catch the Ace draw as the jackpot soared to more than $52,000, but the Ace of Spades was not found. She chose Envelope No. 22 which contained the Seven of Spades. Remember, we will be drawing on both Dec. 24 and 31, so be sure to get your tickets for those draws. They also make good stocking stuffers! The estimated jackpot for next week is more than $57,000, and we hear there might be a special visitor, so plan to attend in person.
The
Mega Meat Draw was packed with people and was great fun. A shout-out to Sweet Light Crude which provided the awesome music that had everyone singing along, and some dancing as well. We had tons of people winning turkeys and gift cards. Thanks to all the community members who made/donated the lovely items for the raffle table - ticket sales for the raffle table were through the roof! The 50/50 draw was mega for sure, with the winner taking home $1,150! Thanks to all the volunteers who cooked, ran the bar, sold tickets, set up, cleaned up, and just made the day run so smoothly. This was our biggest Mega Meat Draw ever, so we are sending out our gratitude to everyone who attended! If you were not able to attend, you can check out a few videos on our Facebook page, and listen to some Sweet Light Crude.

Last week’s
Trivia Night was a fun and festive one. The winning team was Santa’s Little Drinkers. Laura and Cathy thank everyone for the continued support of Trivia Nights over the years, and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. They also announced a donation of $240 to the Kincardine Food Bank from the carry-over game. As well, the winning team, Santa’s Little Drinkers donated its winnings of $150, and Team Trivialights donated its winnings of $50. So in total, a donation of $440 will be made to the food bank. That is awesome, congratulations everyone! The next Trivia Night will be Jan. 23, 2026.
