​Highway 21 in Kincardine area re-opened by early Saturday morning

Highway 21, from Kincardine to Port Elgin, and from Amberley to Goderich, was re-opened early Saturday morning.

These sections of highway were closed Friday night (Dec. 19) due to blowing and drifting snow and no visibility.

According to the West Region OPP, all roads previously closed due to severe weather, poor visibility and deteriorating road conditions, were re-opened as of 3 a.m., Saturday (Dec. 20).

Police appreciate everyone for avoiding non-essential travel and driving according to road and weather conditions.
