Kincardine invites public input on Macpherson Park inclusive playground
The Municipality of Kincardine invites public input on the development of Macpherson Park, located along the lakeshore at Lambton Street, in the Town of Kincardine.
Formerly known as Tiny Tot Park, the plan is to turn it into a fully-accessible, inclusive, destination-style playground, serving families of all abilities. With support from Canadian Tire Jump Start, and municipal funding, the park is scheduled to be rebuilt in 2026.
Residents are invited to attend a community engagement session Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, from 6-8 p.m., in the Bruce Telecom room at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine. The session will include interactive feedback opportunities using dotmocracy, along with concept mock-up renderings that will be available as visual tools to help participants share their preferences. These images are not final designs.
The session is family-friendly, and attendees are encouraged to bring children, especially those who currently use Macpherson Park or benefit from accessible play features. Feedback collected will be shared with playground designers and used to develop concept options for future review, including consultation with accessibility partners.
More information will be shared as it becomes available.
