Firefighters smoke police for second year in a row in Battle of the Badges
The firefighters smoked the cops for the second year in a row as Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services defeated the South Bruce OPP, 6-5, in the Battle of the Badges, to bring home the Brass Nozzle.
The charity hockey game was held Monday afternoon, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
Sparky was joined by junior firefighter Dryden Catto in coaching the fire department to the win, while staff-sergeant Lynn McNichol and constable Matt Thorpe pushed the police officers to greater heights.
It was all in good fun and for a good cause, as the event raised plenty of donations for the Kincardine Food Bank.
