Huron Shores Hospice celebrates remarkable end-of-year campaign success
Huron Shores Hospice is celebrating the extraordinary success of its end-of-year fund-raising campaign, "The Ripple of One: Creating Waves of Compassion," a community-wide effort that brought together individual donors, local organizations, service clubs, businesses, volunteers, and partners in a powerful show of collective care.

A key catalyst for the campaign’s momentum was the generous matching donor support from Bruce Power whose leadership inspired increased giving and amplified the impact of every contribution. By matching donations during the campaign period, Bruce Power helped transform individual generosity into a shared wave of compassion.

“This campaign demonstrates what’s possible when a community works together with compassion at its core,” said Cathy Herbert, executive director of Huron Shores Hospice. “Our community’s generosity allows us to continue to provide compassionate end-of-life care and grief support close to home. We are deeply grateful to our donors, partners, and to Bruce Power for its leadership in matching gifts.”

Equally impactful was the broad participation of community organizations, service clubs, and businesses, alongside more than 200-plus individual donors whose personal contributions reflected deep trust in the hospice’s mission. Together, this collective support raised $95,400-plus which will directly support hospice operations and help prepare for the opening of a third hospice suite in the coming months.

Huron Shores Hospice is a charitable not-for-profit, volunteer-driven, community-funded residential hospice, providing free quality end-of-life care to residents of Kincardine, Huron-Kinloss, Saugeen Shores and surrounding areas.
