Well it’s that time of the year when we all start getting a little "shack wacky" but there’s lots to do next weekend in Tiverton. Come to Tiverton Winterfest, meet up with lots of great people and enjoy some good times.
Tiverton Winterfest: Saturday, Feb. 6, and Sunday, Feb. 7
This will be a fun event and a great time to get out and enjoy the beauty of winter in Tiverton with friends and family. Hope to see you all there!
Saturday, is the annual Tiverton Goodtimers Pancake Breakfast from 7-11 a.m.. After that, is the Story Time and Craft at the Library from Noon to 1 p.m., followed by Family Fun Sleigh Rides from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
The Euchre Party runs 1:30-4 p.m. at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, sponsored by the Tiverton Agricultural Society. Coast is $4 each, lunch provided; cash prizes!
Sunday, in celebration of Tiverton Winterfest, the Hutton family will be hosting a chili lunch at Knox Presbyterian Church, after the worship service. All are welcome to this hearty chili lunch. The church service begins at 10 a.m.
A Family Skating Party will be from 12:30- 2 p.m. at the Tiverton Sports Complex.
Fiddle Tunes and Folk Songs by Eliza Jane runs from 2-5 p.m. at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, featuring Debbie Morris, Kenny McFarlane, Eldon McDowell, Bob Pilger, Larry Hunter, John MacDonald, Glenn MacKenzie, John Sanford, Jay Smith, Gerry Bailey, Mary Campbell, Jamie Hunter, and Thales and Sappho Hunter. Cost is $5. Followed by a hot ham supper and lots of cheer! Cost for the meal is $12. Cost for entertainment and dinner is $15. Sponsored by the Tiverton Agricultural Society. Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church News
There will be a Pancake Supper at the church, Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 5-7 p.m., sponsored by the Sunday School and Youth Group. Homemade pancakes, real maple syrup and local sausage will be served; cost is by donation and all are welcome.
